first i really want to say thank you to all of you that emailed or called me about my grandpa. very thoughtful and i really appreciate it. it has helped a lot, so thank you.
okay, i’m headed back to kc tomorrow morning for my grandpa’s funeral so i won’t be posting anymore until at least thursday. pretty much what i’m saying is, relish this post, because it has to tide you over for the next three days.
i say we are on the edge because we are. we are on the edge of pulling the trigger on the first round of bags. i believe we have found our messengers (there was some waffling on that one, but we’re back on track). and i EAGERLY await the sample for the tote i’ve chosen. it’s a little different than the typical tote, but i think the design really goes along with the whole theme of durtbagz. if we decide we like, i’ll post the link to it so you can check it out. i also love the colors they come in (orange, army green, khaki, and beige); i think the black and yellow signs will really pop off of them. my sample is orange (prounced or-eenge) so i’m ready to test it out by treating it like a durtbag and backing over it with the car. kidding.
also, i’m thrilled with the signs. there are still three being worked on, but the others are hilarious. and not just because i say so, other people say so too. granted, ‘other people’ consists of my mother and husband, but trust me, they are funny. i have to give props to my designer, aaron thomason. awesome work, considering that i’d literally drawn scanned him half of the signs. he’s a miracle worker.
we should be moving forward with buying the bags next week and guess what that means? some of you are getting your free bags and shirts!!!! yeah, you know who you are and i imagine that i have just wrecked your sleeping pattern until they arrive, but that is a risk i had to take.
also, once we get bags, we can move forward on the website!! i’ve been writing the text that goes on each of the pages and it’s a pretty fun job to write in ‘durtbag’. i get to be sassy.
before i know it, we’ll be up and running. jeez, i just scared myself so badly that a little bit of pee came out. one thing at a time. bags first. cross your fingers for me.
have a great week.
Fingers crossed! And travel safely my friend.
Sass on sister!
